Earl Gunasekara today stated that the UNP should vote in favour of the constitutional amendment proposed by the Government. They both added that these amendments have no ill effects on the country. They were of the opinion that the UNP had made bad decisions in the past when it came to crucial junctures and now is the time to correct.
